FAQ

How much does Dogtopia cost per day?
A full day of daycare costs $38 to $55 at the 15 Dogtopia centers we checked, and a half day $27 to $39. The cheapest full day we found was Huntsville-Madison, Alabama ($38); the most expensive was San Jose, California ($55).
Is Dogtopia's unlimited plan worth it?
It depends on the center. At Omaha-Papillion the $127 unlimited week beats three full days ($132); at Short Pump, Virginia you need four days a week before the $160 plan wins; in San Jose it takes five.
How much is Dogtopia boarding per night?
A standard room costs $59 to $87 a night for dogs not enrolled in daycare, and suites run about $10 to $15 more. Dogs on a daycare plan pay $10 to $20 less a night at the centers that list both prices.
Does Dogtopia charge for the Meet & Greet?
The centers that list it show the Meet & Greet evaluation as free. It takes 20 to 30 minutes, and your dog needs rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines first.
What are Dogtopia's age and spay/neuter rules?
Dogtopia takes puppies from 12 weeks at the brand level (some centers, such as Ellisville, Missouri, say 16 weeks), and dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.

Dogtopia is a franchise, so the price you see depends entirely on which center you walk into. San Jose charges $55 for a full day of daycare. Huntsville charges $38 for the same thing. We collected the prices each center posts on its own page so you can see the whole spread, not one location’s number presented as “the” price.

Six more centers show a full-day price in Google’s listing of their pricing page: Alpharetta, GA ($51, half day $39), Columbus Downtown, OH ($47), South Summerlin, NV ($45), Austin, TX ($40), Houston Galleria, TX ($40) and Huntsville-Madison, AL ($38).

So the realistic range is $38 to $55 a day, with big-city centers at the top. None of the pages carries a date, which is normal for franchise price pages; we read them on 11 September 2026.

When does an unlimited plan pay off?

Every center sells some version of an unlimited week, and whether it’s worth it comes down to one division: the weekly price over the single-day price.

  • Omaha-Papillion: $127 a week against $44 a day. Three days already cost $132, so the plan wins at three.
  • Fort Worth Downtown: $144 against $42. Three days cost $126; you need four.
  • Short Pump: $160 against $46. Three days is $138, four is $184. Four again.
  • San Jose: $224 against $55. Four days cost $220, so the plan only makes sense if your dog goes all five weekdays.

Day passes are the alternative for irregular schedules. Short Pump sells 20 days for $720 ($36 a day, and they expire after 90 days); San Jose sells 20 for $900 ($45 a day). Phoenix has a “Top Dog” plan at $270 a week that sits above its $149 unlimited week, and one day a week there costs $59.

How much is Dogtopia boarding?

Boarding is priced two ways at most centers: a higher rate for dogs that only board, and a lower one for dogs already enrolled in daycare. Savannah charges $70 for a standard room, or $50 if your dog is a daycare regular. Fort Worth drops from $62 to $52, and to $30 for dogs on its unlimited daycare plan. Ellisville’s gap is $68 against $58.

If you board more than a couple of times a year, that enrolled rate is the real reason to sign up for daycare.

Omaha-Papillion has the most generous multi-dog pricing we saw: the second dog is 20% off, and any further dogs 40% off. Military families get 10% off there too.

What do Dogtopia spa and training cost?

Spa services vary more than daycare does. Fort Worth lists baths at $30 to $65 and full grooms at $75 to $120. Savannah’s spa packages run $30 to $60, San Jose’s start at $65, and Golden Valley quotes grooming from $60.

Training is offered at some centers only. East Pasadena, California lists six private sessions for $340 and a six-session obedience class for $240.

What does your dog need before its first day?

Every dog starts with a free Meet & Greet, a 20 to 30 minute evaluation of how it behaves with other dogs. Beyond that:

  • vaccines for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella (some centers, including Rocklin, California, also require canine influenza)
  • a minimum age of 12 weeks at the brand level, though Rock Hill and Ellisville say 16 weeks
  • spay or neuter by 7 months

None of the pricing pages we read lists a registration fee. That is not the same as saying there isn’t one, so ask when you book the Meet & Greet. If your dog is behind on shots, our dog vaccination cost comparison shows where they’re cheapest.

Is Dogtopia more expensive than Camp Bow Wow?

A little, on average. Camp Bow Wow’s posted full days run about $30 to $50 against Dogtopia’s $38 to $55, and its standard boarding is similar at $55 to $77. The honest answer is that the gap between two Dogtopia centers is bigger than the gap between the brands, so compare the two nearest you. Our Camp Bow Wow prices page has the same kind of table, and PetSmart boarding prices covers the big-box option.
