PetSmart Grooming Coupons (September 2026): Every Offer That Actually Works

Search for a PetSmart grooming coupon and you’ll find pages promising “$10 off” codes. We tried to trace every one of them in September 2026 and none applies to the grooming salon. What does work are PetSmart’s own programs, and a couple of them are worth more than any coupon would be.

Which PetSmart grooming offers work right now?

Walk-in services like a nail trim are excluded from almost all of these. Their prices are in our PetSmart nail trim price guide.

How do you get $20 off a first groom?

The New Customer Special is PetSmart’s welcome offer: $20 off your first full bath or groom, paid in advance. It covers one pet per customer account and must be used within 60 days of buying it. You can even buy it up to 10 days after that first visit. Add-ons, walk-in services and prepaid packages are excluded.

One detail is genuinely unclear. PetSmart’s offer terms say a Treats Rewards membership is required; its own FAQ for the same offer says it isn’t. Treats is free, so join before you buy and the question goes away.

Is a Super Savings Package better than a coupon?

If you groom on a schedule, yes, by a wide margin. Buy five grooms and the sixth is free, which is 17% off each one. Buy nine and you get three free, a quarter off every groom. PetSmart doesn’t require a Treats membership for the packages, the purchase still earns points, and unused paid grooms can be refunded.

The limit is time: five-groom packages expire in 12 months and nine-groom packages in 15. The five-groom package, six grooms in a year, suits a dog groomed every six to eight weeks. The nine-groom package is 12 grooms in 15 months, about one every five weeks, so it only makes sense for coats that need frequent cutting. Neither suits a dog groomed twice a year.

Who gets 10% off on Tuesdays?

Seniors 65 and over, and military members, get 10% off grooming services and add-ons every Tuesday, with a Treats membership. PetSmart’s definition of military is broad: reserves, National Guard, retirees and spouses all qualify, and an expired ID or a DD214 is accepted.

First responders are often told they qualify too. At PetSmart their 10% applies to PetsHotel boarding, not the salon.

How do Salon Reward Certificates work?

Book a bath or groom in two consecutive months and PetSmart issues a 5,000-point Treats certificate, worth $10, on the first of the following month. You can earn two a year. The catch is timing: the certificate expires at the end of the month it’s issued, so it rewards owners who book their next appointment before leaving. Walk-in services, Quick Wash and visits paid from a package don’t count toward it.

What are Treats points worth on a groom?

Treats members earn 10 points per dollar on grooming, and 1,000 points are worth $2. A $70 groom therefore earns 700 points, or $1.40. The Bestie and VIPP tiers add 2 and 4 points per dollar. Points expire after a year, and completing your Treats profile earns a one-time 1,000 points.

That’s roughly 2% back, which is small on its own. It matters more when stacked with the Fall Salon Special bonus: 10,000 points, worth $20, for buying a Fall Special (from $25) and $20 of dry food on the same day, before 1 November 2026. Activate the offer in your account first, and note that it pays once.

Do coupon sites have anything that works?

We checked RetailMeNot, Groupon, CouponCabin and Rakuten. Their “PetSmart grooming” entries are PetSmart’s own programs, listed as coupons: the senior discount, a “$10 salon certificate” (the reward certificate above), and an old “Salon Welcome Package” that PetSmart has since renamed. PetSmart’s current promo codes, such as a delivery code in September 2026, apply to merchandise only.

If a site shows a grooming code with no terms, treat it as a lead to check at the salon desk, not a discount you can count on.
